I hate it!
I had the most honey-like dream this morning:
I was backpacking across Japan. With my Hubby. Carrying a handbag made of organic banana skin (huh?). Going to the most exotic underground shopping places. With shops all across the roof of the subway train. Touring the most fascinating residential areas filled with tiny homes. Slurping on the most mouth-tantalizing ramen. While getting a massage at the same time. And chewing furiously on sugary red bean desserts with mochi, matcha, and more.
Until I got woken up by the “ding donging” of the bitter bell.
No. Not the alarm.
But the door bell.
*sigh*
It’s been happening a lot lately. Almost everyday. Though I shouldn’t complain too much. Because every broken dream means…
… the arrival of some international treats! Yay!
And today’s delivered parcel includes…
My book from Japan (strange coincidence) about basket weaving!
I posted a pic above.
It even includes some tips for weaving together wreaths the way people do it in Japan. Which is pretty cool. There are a ton of things inside I can learn and apply to my store’s wreath designs. And I’m always exploring new artistic fields. So I can take the best concepts from every field and put them all together to create the best art.
It’s what all the greatest artists do.
Because the greatest masterpieces have always been created by going outside one’s field. And bringing in the best ideas from other fields to what you’re doing.
Just like how Leonardo da Vinci spent countless years studying anatomy, biology, geology, physics, botany, engineering, and more… all to develop world-shattering masterpieces like the Mona Lisa.
It’s one of the things I do too… to make my “Turnip Magic” so special.
By the way, here’s my latest SVG wreath design created with that special “Turnip Magic”:
