I’ve been struggling with my new book recently…
(By the way, can you guess what it’s about? Hint: It’s somewhat related to the new sublimation piece I did above…)
I’d get ready for work each day.
Ready to draw some pages out.
But then, something would always happen to put me off tangent. Apart from Mango passing away, the air-conditioner would break down, the toilet would start leaking, my mom would get into trouble, turtles would invade the garden, etc.
You probably know the drill.
Happens to all of us.
But just the other day:
My hubby taught me an interesting concept that I’ve been using every since. And it’s called:
“Eat Your Vegetables First!”
Basically, it means totally blocking out and spending the first hour of the day, doing your most important project first, not worrying about anything else…
… because when you wake up first thing in the morning, and you’re totally refreshed, your mind is bright, your imagination is stirring, your paws are itching, and you sit your fluffy butt down to get some focused work done…
I don’t have to worry about not getting it done anymore.
No matter what happens today.
Because I’ve already gotten my 1 hour of pages done this morning. And every morning. I’m making steady, daily progress. Yay!
Now it’s off to play. And paint stuff.
Like this new sublimation piece painting I did for the store recently. Thought it’d be fun.
Been a while since I painted.
I did it all by hand by myself, mind you…
It wasn’t “clicked into creation” with some auto-generated A.I. that makes overly rendered, too perfect to be human, and lackin’ bunny soul, pixels. 🙂
So if you have friends (or customers) who love chickens, and you’d like to make something special for them…
… and be able to tell them this was hand-painted by a bunny…
… you can check out my new chicken piece here:
